Ida Lundholm on final table of Swedish Championship

October 2nd, 2010 by Abbe

7 players from Team Potraiser whent down to Malta to play the Swedish Championship of poker and best of them all is Ida “AILL” Lundholm doing.

There is 9 players remaining today to play the final table and Ida will be bringing 195K in chips with her to the table, putting her in 8th place.
The chips are quite evenly distributed as the chipleader has around 380K, so there is still a lot of poker to be played.

Chipcount and seating of the final table:

Marcus Petersson 197,000 1
(Erik) Stefan Mattsson 211,000 2
Johan Berg 356,000 3
Markus Bränfeldt 380,000 4
Tommi Hirvonen 270,000 5
Henrik Abrahamsson 155,000 6
Morgan Karlsson 308,000 7
Ida Lundholm 195,000 8
Peter Andersson 360,000 9

Teamplayers Gusten “Simba84″ Sjöberg, and Christer “JustFold” Lagerström also made it in to day 2.
Gusten put up a good fight and lasted untill there was 35 players left. Christer was unfortunately eliminated pretty early in day 2.

Other teamplayers to play this event was donkykIonk, ihave0uts, Ekolod1 and ullis14 but all of these were eliminated during the first day.

Other notes for this week was that Potraiser also had a player on the final table of the Swedish Championship of Omaha.
Albert “Ekolod1″ Rolander finished in 6th place in the Omaha tournament when he busted against the eventual winner Ferit Gabrielsson.

Team Potraiser will be on the rail tonight to make sure Ida has the best possible support when she goes for gold.

Prague Final update

August 9th, 2010 by Abbe

Unfortunately we lost Gusten”Simba84″ Sjöberg really early on in day 2, when he pushed his short stack in from the SB when it was folded to him. The BB called holding and Ace, and Gusten was out after an uneventful board.

We did have hopes for Lukas “ChilledOne” Bäumer who fought well for several hours, but busted in 65th place after having his toppair outdrawn by a flushdraw.
Team Potraiser now looks forward to the Swedish Championships that will be our next tounament, and then we will go to Valencia in October.

Prague Day 1B

August 7th, 2010 by Abbe

The tourney started out with the exact same number of entrants as in day 1A. 212 players put up the entry fee and then the total field was up to 424 entrants in the tourney.
The guys from Team Potraiser started out well with all 6 of them having more chips than they started with after the first 2 hours of play.
JP “TAKE_MANEY” Heimonen was doing best of them as he had close to 20K going in to the dinnerbreak.
Right before the dinnerbreak we lost Zuberr and Yeahbunny*, who both of them said that it was just not their day.
After the dinnerbreak the rest of the remaining ProTeam players (uldahl, ihaveOuts and ullis14), all had 13K in chips to work with.

Unfortunately this was not to be the day for the guys in the team, first we lost Isac and then in quite rapid speed both uldahl and Henrik were knocked out as well. The best fight of the day was put up by the newest guy in the team, as the team hopes now rested in the hands of mr Heimonen.
JP fought well and survived quite a while with a dwingdling stack. JP said that he managed to get his stack up from 9K to 20K without a showdown.
Then eventually he got knocked out on a coinflip in level 9.

Today we go back to the Hilton to root for our 2 players that are still in.
The 2 players we still have in this fight is Gusten “Simba84″ Sjöberg, and Lukas “ChilledOne” Bäumer.
gustens.jpg

lukas-in-prague.JPG
Lukas “ChilledOne” Bäumer

Lukas is in best shape of the 2 as he starts the day with about the average stack of 49K. Gusten is starting on a short stack of 13K as he really had a brutal last level on day 1.
Today we will be playing down to the final table, and lets all keep our fingers crossed for some Potraiser players making a good run today.
The rest of us will of course attend the player party thats beeing arranged tonight, and show the players that Team Potraiser also are good at partying.

Prague Day 1A

August 6th, 2010 by Abbe

The day started out with some of us taking some bad beats, so it was a rough start.
Unfortunately this was not Luxxxings day as he was eliminated quite early, as was JustFold.

When it was time for the dinnerbreak Ekolod1 and Simba84 were also in trouble as both had less then 5K left in their stacks.
ChilledOne was doing good though, and had a stack of 26K by the dinnerbreak.

Ekolod1 was eliminated right after the dinnerbreak when he pushed all in on top of open raise with 99.
There had been a caller of the first raise, so the original raiser tried to isolate against Ekolod1 by going all in for around 9K, but the caller called once again with his holding of JJ. The first raiser had AK and nothing hit the board so the Jacks eliminated both players.

Simba84 then really started to move after the dinner break, winning pot after pot.
At one point he was up to 70K in chips and was among the leaders.

Simba84, and ChilledOne are now through to day 2 that starts on Saturday, so lets hope we get some of the guys starting today to join them.

Lukas Bäumer Ships Tourney in Austria

July 29th, 2010 by Abbe

In July our ProTeam player Lukas “ChilledOne” Bäumer of Germany won another Live European tournament.
This time it was a €200 Omaha HI tournament with rebuys on the CAPT
( Casino of Austria Tour) at Casino Velden. There were 110 entrants in
the tourney who collectively made 160 rebuy’s and 101 add-on’s to
create a prizepoolof €72.390 and a first prize of €20.270

capt_velden_lukas_baeumer.JPG

Lukas “ChilledOne” Bäumer

Here is Lukas own story regarding the tourney:

I had 3 big key hands in the tourney after the rebuy period. First my
KK98ss held up in a 3way all-in against Q764 and some AQJT where
I was shortstacked.

Later with about 40 of the 110 left I had AA23ss in the BB with blinds
1k/2k. The BTN open limps with like 28k total in his stack, and the
SB completes. I pot it to 8k and both call! Kind of weird.

The flop is 3c4c5s, I have the weak straight but no flush draw. SB
checks, I check because I don’t really want to valuebet there, I’d
rather see what happens if BTN bets.
BTN then shipped for about pot
and SB folded, and I felt like he wouldn’t ship 67 there by the way
he played before and only maybe 26 so I called and he turned over
47xx for a bare gutshot and my hand held up.

The 3rd one was on the Final table. The CO who I just heard had
2 FTs already that week opened with a decent stack. I assumed
he understood MTT concepts and figured he will fold lots to a 3bet
(most people folded anything but AAxx, pretty weird!)
So I 3bet with my bad backup hand A7sJ3h.

Surprisingly he calls with only one potbet behind and the flop is
Kxx all hearts. He pushes into me.I told him I don’t think he would
push a flush into me and most likely has KKxx and called with my
3rd nuts.
He turned over KKxx and I dodged any pairing on the turn
and river so my “holding skills”pushed me into the chiplead.
From there it was uneventful till we were only 6handed.
And because of the shallow stacks (I had 21BBs as the Chipleader
while the shortstack had about 10BBs), we chopped 6-ways.

Aswell I had a bad seatdraw for the final table with Fulltilt Pro
and double Omaha WSOP bracelet winner Eddy Scharf from
Germany to my left, so I was quite pleased with dealing aswell,
since he really was in control of the Finaltable and only was
shorter stacked because he had already lost four decent
Allins where he was a huge favorite everytime when the money
went in and being out of position against him was tough to play.

Team Potraiser congratulates Lukas on yet another success.
This one being his first big live win in an Omaha event.

Proteam players in Malmö starts office

June 23rd, 2010 by Jens

Hi guys, this is my first post in the blog and I’m going to tell you about our new office that me (donkykIonk),
Ivar44 and Luxxxing created.

The office is a very nice apartment that we are renting in second hand for a year. We are 6 players playing
here at the moment, but some more will probably come along in a couple of weeks.
The players “working” here at the moment is, besides us ProTeam players, Lassiter17, KABBKABB and KamelKnaz.

We have really fun together playing online, playing live, discussing hands, drinking some boose and
obviously watching the football World Cup :)

Here are some pictures of the office

EMOP Campione day2

May 30th, 2010 by Abbe

Starting day 2 was 108 players, out of the field of 387.
Ekolod1 got off to a good start and almost trippled his stack to 90K in the first level.
Not so lucky was Ivar44, who was all in for the first time in the tourney since he had had such a good stack all the time, and then he busted on this very first occasion.
Best of all the Potraiser players was Hans Erlandsson and Jesper “Luxxxing” Persson doing, as they both got up over 300K pretty quick.
After about 2 hour Lukas “ChilledOne” Bäumer was eliminated, as was Steffen “uldahl” Nielsen.

About an hour before the dinner break our team pro “Zuberr” played a really big pot when he reraised preflop with JJ, and eventually wound up all in on a 9 high flop, this was a 400K pot that unfortunately was lost to Zuberr’s opponent holding QQ.

As the dinnerbreak approached the players were getting knocked out pretty quick, and when it was time for the break it was a peculiar situation.
The tournament went on break with 46 players remaining, and 45 prizes was to be paid.
2 of the players had less than the big blind, and now had to wait another hour before their fate was to be decided.

On the second hand right after the dinnerbreak player 46 was knocked out, and Potraiser still had 4 players left.
These were:
Jesper “Luxxxing” Persson
Albert “Ekolod1″ Rolander
Isac “ihave0uts” Berglund
Hans “rennieweno” Erlandsson

Right after the bubble had burst Ekolod1 was eliminated holding A7 and getting his all in called by 22 preflop, the board came down xxxA2, so he was certainly a bit dissapointed to see this last deuce on the river.
Ekolod1 atleast cashed for €1900, and as he is the team manager and still had a few teamplayers in the tournament
he was not dissapointed for long at least.
abbe-i-campione-dag2.jpg
Albert “Ekolod1″ Rolander

The shortstacked players were now eliminated in a quite fast pace, as many had been waiting for the bubble to bust.
The field was down to 25 players pretty quick.

Hans Erlandsson made a really big reraise all in against Jesper “Luxxxing” Persson, when he tried to represent a flush that was made possible on the turn.
The problem for Hans was that Jesper had raised the pot preflop with 6 3 of diamonds, and flopped a straight and then made a flush when the third diamond landed. Jesper didn’t look to happy to call Hasses huge all in reraise, but did so anyway and wound up winning a monterous pot of 800K.
Jesper actually made a straight flush on the river in this pot as well.
Hans Erlandsson was left with just a few chips after this pot, and then he looked like he was making an amazing comeback as he got his stack up to around 100K again after some aggressive play.
Unfortunately this was not Hasse’s day, as he was eliminated in spot 21, after dominating the field as the chipleader for the better part of the day.
With 2 tables left things was looking good for team Potraiser. Isac “ihaveouts” Berglund was up to about 600K at one point, and Jesper “Luxxing” Persson was the chipleader sitting on a impressive stack of around 1,3 million.
jesper-som-chipleader-i-campione.jpg
Jesper “Luxxxing” Persson

The day ended in a not so funny way as both Jesper and Isac were eliminated almost at the same time in places 10 and 11, and the play was stopped for the day as the final 9 were complete.
Jesper got all his chips in with AK and was called by a Finnish player holding JJ that held up. Jesper had been a bit unlucky in a couple of pots earlier, and had doubled up quite a few players before the decisive hand came up.
Isac was on a short stack and pushed all in preflop with K7 from the button and was called by KQ in the small blind.
The hopes for Isac went up when he spiked a seven on the turn, but it was not to be as the river was a queen that sent Isac out of the tourney as well.
isac-dag2-i-campione.jpg
Isac “ihave0uts” Berglund

All in all team Potraiser really showed thet we have a stong team, with 3 teamplayers getting in to the money in this event.
Of course there is always going to be a bit of dissapointment when we are so close to having 2 players making the final table, and then both of them are knocked out as players 10 and 11. Sometimes the pokergods just deliver these kind of bad news and thats part of the game of course.
Isac took home around €6K, and Jesper got a bit more with around €6,5K, so atleast it was a good payday for our 2 best players of the tournament.

Potraiser dominating in Campione

May 29th, 2010 by Abbe

The day started with 387 players putting up the €1100 to play at the beatutiful casino, and this was to be a really good day for Potraiser ProTeam.

The day started out quite slow, but with Potraiser players building their stack steadily.
At the dinner break only 2 Potraiser players had been eliminated out of 13, and this was Simba84, and TAKE_MANEY.
A few was running really good, with Jesper “Luxxxing” Persson doing best of them all.

Soon after the dinner break also ullis14 and AILL were eliminated and in level 9 we lost donkykIonk.
But now to the good stuff.
Still in it to day 2 is the following players:
Luxxxing 160K
Zuberr 91K
Uldahl 88K
ChilledOne 67K
ihave0uts 105K
Yeahbunny* 45K
Ivar44 70K
Ekolod1 34K

Another Potraiser player doing well is Hans Erlandsson who is going in to day 2 with 165K, and this is impressive indeed, as Hans also managed to win the sideevent that started the day before, and spent the first couple of hours of the main event finishing up on that final table. Obviously he is still in his best of form, since he is now one of the chipleaders going in to day 2 at the main event as well.
Hannes Rask has 65K with him after day 1, and FishLars is shortstack, but he still has 15K.

110 players survived day 1, and the averange stack is 70K.
There is still 11 players playing for Potraiser, so we are very happy that so many of our players is still in, and we hope for all the best for the guys tomorrow when we will be shooting for the money.

I will post another blog with some pictures tomorrow, so look out here for updates.
