EMOP Malta day2

Saturday, September 26th, 2009

Ekolod1, JustFold and Macco came back for day2 with good hopes but not so big stacks. Ekolod1 was the first one out when he pushed all-in with AQ and was called by AK. JustFold survived a bit longer but was eliminated by Macco in the second level. Macco then survived a long time, nurturing a small stack but sadly he got knocked out just a few places before the money.

Then all of the Potraiserplayers made a good comeback in the bar, and JustFold showed excelent “klonkskills” at the Blackjack tables, before we left the casino for the EMOP party at Shadow.

Today on Saturday there is a €330 sideevent, and lets se if some Potraiserplayer can win this one.

Christer “JustFold” Lagerström

Today on day 1B the Potraiser players entered the tournament. Macco was of to a flying start and started acumulating chips early on. Already at the end of level 2 he was up to about 40K. Christer JustFold Lagerström followed him as well with close to 40K early on. Uldahl and Ekolod1 where placed at the same table and Uldahl started best of them. Ekolod1 had a tough start and was down to 4K when he found QQ and doubled up.

Uldahl had a long stretch of a cold deck and some beats (losing a big pot with QQ against KJ), and was eliminated with an hour left of play.

Ekolod1 managed to build up his stack to 26K, with some good play, unfortunatly he lost a big pot with 15 minutes left of the day with AK against JJ and ended day 1 with 13600. Also Christer and Macco lost some chips during the last levels, so Christer took 21K with him to day2. Macco who had about 55K at one time got 23K with him to day2.

All in all a decent day for the proteam, with some good hopes for the rest of the tournament.

Tomorrow play starts at 15.00, and you can follw the livereporting on www.pokeri.com

Potraiser Live Tour Event 1 Uppsala

Sunday, September 13th, 2009

The first event of the livetour was completed yesterday. Potraiser arranged a great structured tournament that gave plenty of room to maneuver, and resulted in some really good play.

Team Potraisers Pro Simba84 made a good effort but was eliminated in fourth place. Eventually the battle for the title came down to 2 local guys from Uppsala. After starting the heads up as a 2 to 1 underdog -ALER- defeated MrJanzzon to become our first Potraiser Live Champion.

Potraiser would really like to thank all praticipants, and hope to see you and some friends to our next event in Stockholm on the 20th of September.

Rafael Alkhouri playing for team Potraiser at the final table.

This event didn´t start well. Simba84, Ekolod1 and JustFold were eliminated quite soon, after finding out that having the best hand when the money goes in against a Finnish guy is not always the best thing.

Ekolod lost with A Q of clubs against A 3 offsuit All in preflop, and JustFold found out that Finns can call monterous reraises when they hold premium hands like J 4.

Simba84, had the nut straight on the turn, but his Finnish opponent made a bigger straight on the river.

The Pro Teams hopes stood to Franke_HSC and our guestplayer Rafael Alkhouri, who both made impressive starts, and accumulated a lot of chips. Franke unfortunatly got knocked out just before the final table.

On the final table, Rafael played some good poker earning him some respect and a fourth place finish for 38600 EEK.

Congratulations to Rafael for this performance on his very first attempt as a Potraiser Player. The event was as always filled with good jokes, good drinks and nasty remarks between the Swedes and the Finns. Team Potraiser showed once again that we are a respected force at the tables, and really funny guys to hang around with.

Who won? As I write this the standing in the match between Sweden and Finland is not known.
